Having shared stages with Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Laura Marling, George Ezra and The Staves, and penning songs with critically acclaimed writer/producers Jimmy Hogarth (Amy Winehouse, James Morrison, Duffy), Sam Dixon (Adele, Sia, Ryan Adams), and Fred Ball (KT Tunstall, Kylie Minogue). Some may be humbled to learn that British singer-songwriter Damon Valentine can still be found busking the streets of towns and cities he has played since his teens. His love of performing live has led him to gig relentlessly in recent years, a trait that has helped hone his emotive and honest sound, whilst connecting him to an ever growing loyal fan base.

Comparisons to Ryan Adams, Ed Sheeran, Damien Rice and Elliot Smith have earned Damon a reputation as a gifted, mature songwriter and compelling live act. In late 2013 he teamed up with London label Young & Lost Club (Noah & The Whale) to complete a packed out three-month residency with his live band at the renowned Lock Tavern in Camden. February 2014 saw the release of his debut EP, “You Will Get It Right” to great acclaim. In April 2014, it was announced that Damon had been hand picked by Spotify and Zig-Zag, as one of six acts to take part in their huge “Unbleached Sessions” competition this coming July, giving the winners the chance to support Mystery Jets and The Cribs in London later this summer.
This coupled with live dates across the UK, and another release on the horizon, the coming months look set to be extremely busy for this modern-day troubadour.
